Ted Lewelllen (26 juni 1940 - 30 april 2006) var professor i antropologi vid University of Richmond . Han tog sin BA från Alaska Methodist University , sin MA från New York University och sin doktorsexamen. från University of Colorado 1977, med en avhandling om "Aymara i övergång: ekonomi och religion i en peruansk bondesamhälle".
Han har gjort fältarbete i Peru och Nicaragua och är författare till fyra böcker, varav några har översatts till koreanska, franska, spanska och italienska. och cirka 20 artiklar. Hans mest kända är The Anthropology of Globalization (2002), och hans lärobok, Political Anthropology: an Introduction , som har gått i tre upplagor.
