Den 1980 NCAA Division II fotbollssäsongen , en del av college fotboll i USA som anordnades av National Collegiate Athletic Association på division II -nivå, började i augusti 1980 och avslutades med fotbolls-EM NCAA Division II i december 1980 vid University Stadium i Albuquerque, NM . Under spelets tvååriga sträcka i New Mexico kallades det Zia Bowl .

Cal Poly besegrade östra Illinois i mästerskapsspelet, 21–13, för att vinna sin första division II nationella titel.
